Hi,
I bought a Kipor KGE 1300 Tc about 4 months ago, a good little unit, my only criticism is that the three pin output power socket that they use is very flimsy and not up to the job, they should use a heavier duty one, then it would be a great little unit.

We have had the 3000tce for about 6 months. There have been a few minor problems with it. It has a small oil leak near the dipstick that has been unfixable, a little black box with some capacitars in it broke off its mounting and is now flopping about on its wires, it still works ok. Finally, it broke down the other week with a fair amount of oil in the cylinder, we cleaned it out but didn't try any repair, pulled the cord and it has worked perfectly since!

Paid £300 for it new on ebay.

Hi there, Yep it was me as Jez said, I actually settled on the 2000Ti as this is the full sine wave version and will drive my largest load, being the kettle. I can't comment on reliabilty as I've only just got it after the delivery fun. I should point out it was my fault not the dealer's.

Anyway, it simply purrrs and has a few nice little features built in like overload protection and auto low oil warning and shutoff. Also this model, unlike the Honda does not have 13 amp square pin sockets, but dual marina style blue 16amp sockets. Also has 12dc output for battery charging. I doubt if it's as good as the Honda but then, 2Kva @ £399.. not bad value. IMHO.
