I recently started up my Kipor 1000i genny and after a few minutes it stopped. On investigation petrol was running out of the casing. A closer look and I found that the fuel tap had come apart, the rivets holding the tap body together had just sheared.
As I was unable to find a supplier of Kipor spares I tried a local agricultral store that sold Honda generators and found that the fuel tap looked very similar so I order one. When it arrived it is exactly the same but looks more robust. It fits and the genny is now running again.
The Honda part no for the fuel tap is 16950ZT3003.
So if you are having difficulty with Kipor spares try Honda.

The guy who served me said he owned a Kipor and had had the same problem so it may be a common fault.

Fuel Tap

Yes been there, same fault.
I tried another method which works very well.

The rivets can be drilled out with small drillbit & replaced with either self tapers if you dont want to drill all the way through or if like me you want a more permanent solution drill right through & fix with small nut & bolt.

Has worked flawless for over two years since!
