Hi folks I'm new here and would describe myself as a happy dinosaur. Sailed all my life and in my retirement on a very limited budget last year I bought a derelict Kingfisher 26 to replace my 112 year old 25' gaff yawl which was becoming too much of a handful single-handed.
So it would be good to hear from any other owners of these fine little boats. I have no. 1, Blue Parrot built in 1967 and in the same family till I bought her. I think quite a few have been lost or scrapped and obviously most original owners have probably left us.
Including buying and refitting her plus buying a secondhand Sea Feather vane gear I've spent under 5k and have a little boat that will take me anywhere I want to sail. When I said on a very limited budget I meant it!
