King’s Lynn Visitor Pontoons Project Update

I am pleased to confirm that the Borough Council has received all of the necessary consents required for the installation of pontoons for visitor moorings at South Quay in King’s Lynn (opposite Marriott’s Warehouse).

Construction of the facility will commence w/c 8th July and all going well we anticipate opening the facility in early August. </quote>

I know that for most, the East Coast does not include The Wash, but it's not all that scary and now there is going to be somewhere safe to moor in Kings Lynn.
It won't have all states of tide access, but they claim it will have 1.7M at MLWS. (I have my doubts!)

King's Lynn has its charms, but most people would find visiting twice a month enough! ;-)

Once a month is enough for me. However it is nice to get out of Hunstanton and see the odd person walking without a stick or a mobility scooter. Where we are is like living in an open air nursing home!
