There have been surveys about the ipc magazines before now, with prizes available if you entered.

Earlier this year I think, but not about content. Showed lots of pictures of covers and asked which you preferred, and which you'd bought, etc, etc. Stuff like that

Yes, we've conducted some research on a number of titles on the websites (the last set was indeed about covers) and we will do so again.
