Kim - how do favourite\'s work?

Apologies if this is a school-boy question but:

If I like a thread and save it as a favourite, does it also automatically store any extra posts that are made after I stored it even if I never saw them or read them?

Thanks
Rob

If you go to user options, you'll find a box headed favorites. If you clicked on the favorite icon the thread will show up in this box. It saves you searching for it through pages of threads.

If you have date slip enabled the thread will automatically return to the top of the 1st page if it gets a new reply. If date slip is off then the new reply will show up as added in the favorites box.

Hope thats clear I lost myself halfway through!

OK, got that. So just to confirm you are saying that when you save the thread as a favourite you are NOT simply storing a snapshot of the thread as it was when you saved it but you are storing a dynamic link to a thread that will continue to grow i.e. you don't have to go back and re-save the thread to capture any new posts since you first saved it, it automatically does this?
