Hi,

I have a lock under the instrument panel for my Bella 651, it looks as the attached image. However, no key...
Anyone that knows where I can find a key to this? I have been searching for it for some time, but not been able to find one.

Thanks, best regards
Tommy

A tubular lock. Take it to a good locksmith and he should be able to sort you a key for it. That's a locksmith. not a bloke who sells locks and cuts keys, and calls himself a locksmith.

The other possibility - and possibly cheaper, assuming it's just a fancy cam lock would be to find a replacement lock with a standard key, eg here: Cam Lock, Cam Lock Fittings & Systems, Cabinet Door Locks Online

Tube locks look fancy, but aren't that much more secure than a standard lock. Look at the Lock Picking Lawyer on You Tube - it's frightening how quickly he opens most locks - even "good" ones

Thank you very much Stemar. By letting me know the English term, I was able to google it and there is even a Wikipedia page about this particular lock: Tubular pin tumbler lock - Wikipedia
However, I also realize that it is a real lock widh different keys. First I thought it was just some standard closing mechanism were they all have the same key.

As it is locked in place in the boat, I cannot take it to a locksmith. Howeve,r, they seem easy to pick, and there are numerous instruction videos on Youtube on how to do that. That's an interesting challenge :D

Ah! That will be interesting. Let us know how you get on.

Simply drill it out and fit one of these, for a couple of quid it is not worth messing with.
