Ahso! First motorboaty guilty of inadiquate passage planning.
First need to plan route round deck, checking all the fittings and report back. Also wearing unsuitable foot wear whilst doing same. Fine £10000000000000000000. <G>

It's been this weeks project .
Apart from rebuilding my toilets !!
My son wanted a remote control plane for his birthday , So got it and had to make it but as for flying well .So while looking about for information I saw the plane OOOhh that's cool I thought.
Any way so far he's just taxi's along the road and if we'd tried to fly would have crashed it over 10 times LOL.
Thing is the local club is the only way, the controller has the lead connection for training so maybe later today we'll pop over there .
The plane is called Prangster , epp foam covered with bullet tape ,simple enough even for me to build ,I dicided on a .40 engine as once he has the basic's it will be more than able to cope with acrobatics .On the box they show a car wheel sitting on the wing and a fella standing on both wings so it should last.

Cheers
Mick

Err get it right Mick, it's RADIO controlled, not remote controlled, there's a big difference. I've flown my mate's Prangster,. It's OK, almost unbreakable, but the uindercarriage is really wobbly, crap for landing they just fold back. For take off better to hand launch it. If you've not flown before, please don't try and teach yourself, join a local club, if you don't know where there is one, let me know and I'll sus one out for you. Or you can bring it down to St Neots and I'll take you to our local flying field and give your lad some lessons. Best to learn on a budddy box system. Are you into all the web sites for aero modelling too?

I'll confirm the above, a 40 can do serious damage especially to you and bystanders. I've met very few people in god knows how many years of modelling that have taught thereselves to fly. I've taught loads and have little hair to prove it!
Please also make sure you are insured, join BMFA or find out arrangements at local club.

Once it's gone splat too many times an becomes nose "heavy" with repaired balsa and glue........I have a spare for you....biggles would have been proud of it!
Got a 'copter too........plus enormous hula-hoop attached to underrcarriage. Has all latest mod-cons (for it's age) incl auto stabiliser.
All last used circa 1994-5 but looking for good home??

ps you might be too far from Coltishall but they have a model rc club and they are allowed to use it (the airfield) at the weekend...very scarey being positively vetted by MOD....but an occassional Jaguar would arrive unannounced with disastrous results.

I believe it went wide cos someone... no names mentioned... typed in a very long number... seems the wraparound function can't cope with long strings of characters with no spaces in 'em
