Kerosene stoves

I recently bought a 1983 Hunter 34 which has a Kenyon 550K stove (2 burners + oven) in the galley which runs on pressurised kerosene and which has never been used since new.

As my wife isn't keen on using a kerosene stove I wondered if it is possible to convert to gas.I have contacted Kenyon who tell me they do not manufacture a conversion kit but they have heard of people converting them themselves.

It would be a shame to have to replace such a nice looking well built stove.
Can anyone help?

Gas does have a tendency to go BANG.

If you really do want to do a conversion, please get it checked over by an expert - we'd hate to lose you!
