In the instruction manual there is a description of an "anti-vibration strip" that slides up the slot designed for a Trysail. None of the dealers can provide information on this item. Has anyone used one or can give me a description so that I may have one made up?

Yes, it's a length of flexible grey plastic, about 120mm wide. I had one on a 36ft Westerly. In certain wind conditions, vortices around the mast can set up a vibration which leads to the mast "pumping" forwards and backwards, causing a nasty judder throughout the boat. Hoisting this strip is supposed to break up the vortices, stopping the vibration. It was marginally successful - I think the rigging on my boat was badly designed. I may still have it somewhere in the dark corners of a garage - PM me if you're interested and I'll have a look.
