I'm thinking of plumbing in a permanent pump to take diesel from the bottom of the tank , pass it through a filter/water separator and return it to the tank. The usual filters would still be in place on the way to the engine.
Is this a silly idea? How would the pump cope with the resistance of the filter? Would it burn out?
