I can’t remember the name of the product someone recommended to add to 2 pack paint in order to keep a wet edge for longer when brushing or rolling.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

............. I wouldn't add a thinner. Yes, it will slow things down but it will also make it harder to get a decent finish.

I agree. what you really need is neither, but have two people working in unison, one lay the paint on and broadly spreading it, and the second 'tipping' it off with at least two high quality brushes used and cleaned alternately. We tried thinners a long time ago with International 2-pot, and to keep the 'wet line' fluid for longer, resulted in all of the rest being far too thin. We ended up having to put on more coats. Almost self-defeating!
The manufacturers claim just about everything for the product.....they make it look like a wonder drug...... but even they don't claim it's any use in 2 packs.
I wouldn't try it.
It is a super product when used on Enamel paints and varnish but certainly not suitable for 2 packs.
2 Packs get their great shine from the chemical curing so owatrol even if comparable will most likely reduce the gloss finish.
I assume the name tipping off is the same as laying off the paint . Once you have your paint layed on to the surface you go over it with the tip of the brush , this should give an even more even coat and get rid of any brush marks and defects .
