Hello all,

Has anyone had experience with using duckhams keenol grease on a Eliche Radice folding prop? I've emailed them for installation and maintenance info but not had any response....

You should not need anything.
I've just bought a new ER folding prop and the instructions from the manufacturer state quite clearly to 'dismantle and grease yearly'. Our last ER folding prop lasted 23 years and we never dismantled it or greased it so I guess either works

I would have thought that Keenol was a bit lacking in stickiness for a prop. Our Volvo prop has a dollop of medium grease, not that there is any left after a season.

Keenol has not been available for years, but I guess there are loads of tins of the stuff still in lockers.

Keenol and Ramonol White grease, which is sold as a replacement , are easily washed away IF fhe manufacturers do not recommend a particular grease then Ramonol Advanced will probably be more suitable

I think for the first year we'll go with manufacturers advice. If there is no grease left at the next lift out then I guess it's a bit of a pointless exercise.
