KEELBAND SUPPLIERS ?

Does anyone out there know of a supplier of lengths of BRASS KEELBANDS. I am presently restoring a 14 ft clinker rowing boat built in 1957 by Con Hickey in Galway. I can obtain galvanised here in Northern Ireland but would prefer brass.

Also need to find supplier of a stopper under name of BRUMMER ??

Any help welcome!!

By all means use brass if you are going to only use your boat in fresh water. If you plan to use it in salt water use copper strip, fastened with copper or silicon bronze nails.

Classic Marine (see website) are located in Suffolk and supply brass and bronze keelband sections.

Brummer Stopping used to be available at any ironmongers, it is not a specifically marine product.
