Keel refit

So I'm in need of repairing some leaking keel bolts, in fact the job was already done once, yet the boat yard did not do a good job of sealing and rebeding the keel and the aft bolts are still leaking. I obviously don't trust them to redo this work as there were other problems at the time. So does anybody know of a good boat yard with a reputation for regularly carrying out this work on the south coast of England somewhere. I'm looking for a boat yard with multiple positive feedback from customers for a keel rebed? Also an estimation of price would be great as I think I paid too much last time even if it had been a good job...

Marine Team at mayor Harbour have a reasonable reputation. No idea about their charges though, as I do all the fettling on my Hurley 18 myself. Probably a bit far away anyhow?

You dont say what size boat,fin keel or bilge keel,wood or glassfibre a friend paid around £4500 for rebedding the keels on a 32ft boat.

Darthaven at Dartmouth did mine eighteen months ago. Alan the foreman and Chris the shipwright who did mine have been there donkeys years and did a great job on mine. Most impressed with them and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

In Chichester Harbour I'd suggest Thornham Marina ( actually a very good boatyard but very tidal ) or Hayling Yacht Co - both very good at their jobs, both require a careful look at the tide tables !

I used to think Mylor was OK (not great but not bad) but very recently Ive downgraded them to poor service and expensive. In fact very expensive!
Have you spoken to FYB in Penryn?

I have always had good work done by Gosport Boat Yard, but have no experience of them doing keel bolts.

What is the boat and what is her recent history? if said keel bolts are fitted 'traditionally' and she has been ashore for a while they may take up, or it may be possible to just tighten them a half turn or so.

Derek Moreland, Yachting Sports in Hamble, took my keel off (amongst many other things, including flow coating the floor) sorted it ,replaced it and faired it all in. 15 years later it's still perfect

Perhaps the last boatyard did in fact do a good job for £6000 but the keel area is flexing and causing leaks,is there an owners website which might mention its a common problem,what boat is it as people on here may know.Getting the keel done again may be a waste of money without fixing the underlaying problem.
Is the boat new to you if so the survey should have picked this up.

I should add to my post #9 above that Yachting Sports also added additional stiffening to beef up my floor as the keel pictured is non standard and the boat is much stiffer than previously

It's an elan 362, I can't find anything online about this issue, and talking to the manafacture they didn't mention it. At the time of the keel refit a surveyor looked at the keel and the hull as it had been grounded in sand the original cause of the leak, he deemed there to be no structural damage... The boat was new to me 3 years ago and the survey at the time viewed the bolts and hull keel joint as good...
