Keel Joint

I'm raking out and refilling my keel joint, to provide a bit for support to the filler, could fiberglass strands be mixed in with the filler?

Also any recommendation on filler ?

Suggest you use a flexible caulking material like 5200 rather than a hard filler. How big is the gap? What type of keel - hull joint?

I find sikaflex works better and lasts longer than any rigid filler

Thanks for the replies, the plan is to use filler and sikalfex, filler to fair the keel and hull with sikaflex for the actual joint.
