Kate http://www.1906-twelvemetre.com/ the 12 metre first rule yacht built on St. Kitts has been damaged.

She was moored, when a small container carrying vessel hit her.

It is alledged that the bow thruster on the small container carrying vessel failed.

Damage is the Port spreader is broken.
I have no report on the rigging or the timber mast.
There was also some damage to the hull on the Port side where it joins the deck.
Understand that the Captain of the container carrying vessel has signed a document admitting all liability.

Absolue shame, Kate is barely three months old. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Oh dear, poor Kate!

At least you have a written admission of liability, so that will help tremendously re the repair costs.

And if you get some of the fine craftsmen who built her to carry out the repairs, I am sure that she will be looking as beautiful as ever before too long, hopefully in time even to take part in Antigua Classics next month.
