Crime - agreeing with Gludy

Details -

In HLBs post "Friends Romans Countrymen Lend Me Your Oars", TCM has agreed with Gludy, TCM "quite so gludy".

This is clearly not allowed on the forum, agreement with gludy is only allowed on 'Trader Trauma' posts and should be of the 'oh how awful' hand wringing variety.

(The Novel 'Trader Trauma' authored by Gludy, available in hardback and paperback, edition one due out in July 2007, final edition with last chapter complete May 2009, edited by Andyball, Fireball and Noballs, be warned its seventeen thousand pages long plus legal file of 1300 pages).

In view of the offence being committed on HLB post he should be judge of this court.

Please all stand for the judge!
 
A clear and flagrant breach of Forum etiquette. The defendant is clearly guilty as charged and should be punished accordingly. He should be made to mediate between the Gludy and Trader at their forthcoming showdown at the London Boat Show (I believe the BMF have organised this in an attempt to boost flagging attendance figures).
 
Now i reckon the punishment should be a season ticket for the Stanstead express and he should be forcibly made to use it each and every day for at least the next ten years!

We edited it down from a two hundred and thirty five page second draft, corrected some six hundred and twenty five thousand, four hundred and thirteen typos and consumed more in coffee than Gludy's boat has red diesel this season ....

You've got me bang to rights there. I can't think what on earth came over me. I hereby offer my sincere apologies to the forum and to Gludy especially for my agreeing with him. It must have almost caused him to have a seizure.

The fact is that it jolted me very hard indeed - in fact it stopped me reaching for my next keyboard, well for a few for a few seconds it did anyway.

When I had recovered and re-read your post 6 times, I thought that it was either my age or your age or both. I thought of making a challange to you on it but thought it better left to go unnoticed. That way you stood a chance.

But fate struck when your agreement was noticed and the court convened.

So it is with a sad heart that I have to agree with this Court and concur with its sentence.

I think the matter isa touch past the apology stage - it has made me seriosly consider leaving the forum - these thing never used to happen in the past.
 
It's no good soft soaping me with apologies. Anyway stand up when your addressing the court. Stuff it. Three years for contempt of court. Now stop whinging.

Court Adjourned. Gludys in the whitness box next, so I suggest we all have a couple of weeks holiday. The clerk of the court can let him in tomorrow and leave him to lock up when he's finished. Then send us all a text and you'd all better be back smartish for judgement.
 
well, thank you very much for conclusively dropping me in it, and I promise never to agree with you again or at least not so obviously, and even if i do actually agree with you I will use twisted phrases such as "although i can't say i disagree with gludy, i must point out some slightly different side-issue which he didn't mention...." and the like.

I have always been loyal in my total opposition to everything you have written and stand for, I have never agreed with you, I have always stood where everyone can see with total resistance toy you in all areas – totally consistent that’s me!!

But you …. now that is another story ……. you actually AGREED and there is no excuse or other words to describe what you did, so just sit back and take the medicine like a man.

On the other hand I might beg to disagree.
Having not read the Agreement in full I don't agree with My first comment.
I do agree however, that I cannot agree with Myself.
Disagreeable as this, is it is agreeable that people agree.
Agreeing to dissagree is quite agreeable from time to time don't you agree.
So if everyone is agreeable let the Case continue towards an agreeable end

This must be the most outragious crime ever to come to a court of this realm.

The perpetrator has shown no remorse and will recieve no mercy from this court.

Gludy, you have also shown an utter contemt for this court. Your evidence has been short and to the point, so obviously you have not considered the gravity of the situation or would have used 10 million words instead of three.

Ten years for contempt.

TCM Along with the 3 years for contempt, I sentence you to
6 months at the London Boat Show, plus costs. So pay for the courts staff and all the Jurys diesel bills for uumm Life!!
