Hi All,

I have an issue with my EDC control pannel on my Targa 40. It take a couple of tries to get the leds buttons to light up when starting the engines. Needs to switch of a few times and press the buttons again. It seems to get progressively worse over the last season. Before I spend a load of money on a new panel are there any other causes known that can cause this?

Regards

Rob

Hi Bob,

Not sure how easy it is for you to work with electronics but I suggest strongly that you unscrew the panel and measure power (12V) around the on/off switch. From what you tell here it seems as this switch has seen better days. A change of a single switch is a much cheaper option than going for a new panel. Cross my fingers.

Thanks About time,

It's the touch buttom type 1 pannel I have. It seems to be a molded unit. I did have a look at the diagrams and it did not seem to be very high tec internally. Or are you referring to the input voltage to the panel.

Unfortunately I am not familiar with the panel you have. Anyway the problem you have sounds like the on/ off switch does not allow 12v to the panel... only when you motion the switch. Therefore I believe the issue is the switch. If you cannot open the panel though you may need a full exchange of the panel.... sorry not much help then
