Yup, i've read the horror stories about KAD 42's , but whats the difference between them and KAD 43s. Am I correct in thinking that the 43's cured the outstanding problems with 42's or are there any areas to be aware of??
I think the 43 is just an updated 42. The air pipe for the turbo/supercharger is metal on the 43 and rubber on the 42, stops turbo lag I think.
The biggest change was something to do with the oil feed to the head, this is possibly what causes the alleged problems with the 42.
I have 43's which have done 500hrs in 3 years and apart from a problem with "a foreign object in the turbo" after 7 hours (something mistakenly left in at manufacture) I haven't had any other problems.
