Hi all

First post on the forum, so be gentle….

I have started the engine service on my Sealine S23, fitted with a KAD32. I have identified a “squeak” coming from the Compressor (Supercharger). It appears to be from the clutch assembly. I suspect that it is the bearings of the clutch that are on their way out. There appears however to be nothing wrong with the electromagnetic clutch. It turns on/off at the correct speeds and appears to be supplying boost air at the correct times.

By the looks of it you can purchase a complete clutch unit for approx £350, but I just want the actual internal bearings (clutch ones, not the compressor ones) as we can break it down and access these ourself.

The workshop manuals do not specify any part numbers. I imagine these must not be unusual to require repair.

Does anyone have any experience with this and is able to offer any assistance?

Below is the part number for the whole clutch assembly.

Supercharger Kompressor Compressor Clutch
repair assembly 23285069, old no 3581724,
3581062, 860786

Cheers

I’ve changed the bearing inside the clutch assembly.

I’ll see if I can dig out the size you need. Not a hard job but needs a press.

That would be great if you could; Thanks very much indeed. Yes, have access to a press so should be ok (y)

cheers

I remember I searched for ages! I posted it on a thread ages ago but can’t find it.

Heres a picture. Be easy for a bearing supplier to match up. Defo bought the replacement on line cheap so nothing special
