KAD 44 EDC - what's the volume of external seawater in the engine ?

tnx, just trying to figure out how much antifreeze to put in the external part, other than draining it

yes it is out of the water :)

It doesnt quite work like that in my experience. From the seawater pump fit another intake hose to the pump that goes to a builder;s bucket with your antifreexe mix in. Make about 15 litre mix. have the bucket higher than the engine so the pump can prime easily.
Have another builder's bucket under the leg. Start the engines. At first the antifreeze (say if red) will come out pinkish. When it's coming out the same colour as in the bucket stop.

10 mix litres is normally enough. 20 litre concentrate lasts twin engine 2.5 flushes.

Remember flushing wont help those matrix tubes that are blocked and in the end draining the system completely is still better. It gives you a chance to inspect all those damn brass plugs havent corroded to clay (yes, you will be surprised)
