Hi Guys,
I have a Kad32, circa 500 hours on it. It's in a Jenneau Leader 705. Recently I've noticed that when going from idle to high revs to get the boat up on the plane, it takes up to 7 or 8 seconds from putting the throttle lever forward to getting any response back from the engine. I don't have the boat too long, and can't remember was it always like this and I just didn't notice before now, or is it a new thing. Instinct is telling me it's not normal, but maybe you lot can tell me otherwise or tell me what the issue might be!

We had KAD32s in our last boat and a 7 to 8 second delay sounds very odd as engine revs increase when the throttles are opened. Assume you have cables and that electronic throttles haven’t been retro-fitted?

Can you hear the supercharger whining when you accelerate from low rpms?
So this was my problem, the supercharger wasn't coming online so I was relying on the turbo to get me going, which explains the lag.
I had a look in the relay box on top of the engine, made sure all the connections were tight and now the supercharger is working again.
Obviously the difference in acceleration is incredible!
Thanks for the help!
