My Timco 105 is beyond repair but the motordrive is still fit for duty.
After weeks of consideration and reading numerous websites I close for a homemade branch. It is an solid, plein simple device. Developed by a sailer from one of my internetfora.
Because it has no build-in need for devices from the same manufactor it works out much cheaper as well.
I can't wait to build it in my boat with the excisting motor and rudder.
At the moment i'm enthousiastic but off course the proof of the pudding is in eating it.
Within a few weeks I can tell you if it was a wise decision or a stupid mistake...
