this was what happened when a storm comes though the Solent and sinks a whole load of dragon boats off Cowes.

The next 3 were a kit surfer heading on a collision course about mid ships with the boat I was on , when he jumped, spun around and headed back, I watch his face and it was kind of OH ****, idea , yeeerrr up up and away.

I have got to have a wake shot, but just to be differant, its one taken at night.

even the Red Jet can look good at night.

and the red funnel too.

Now this looks like a great way to travel.

The wonder full Harbormaster tried his best but

It did not work, so a passing tug helped, 30 seconds and they were off the bank.

I do like the French Bouys they are SO BIG.

and there customs guys are quite impossing , saw this guy being searched on the way back to airport.

there are a lot more off these out playing now.

great if you downwind' you hear them but up wind, nooo you don't bit like the red jet.

Great pics - sorry to be pedantic but the submerged boats off Cowes were Darings not Dragons! I suppose they all look very similar 10 ft under!!

I used to work at Dauntseys School who own Jolie Briese (it is used for training the pupils) and have spent some time in that bowsprit! We sailed from Santander to Lisbon and it remains one of the trips I have ever done.
