Lots of gaps on the moorings at the "Honey Pot" locations etc............... ? Are the "Marina Queens" venturing out despite the weather and dearth of lockeepers. ?

H,mm.
Suspect our usual cruise plan, Teddington, Hampton Ct, PHYC ,Runnymede. Lady Wotsits, Cookham and perhaps adventuring even further up assuming no flat batteries/prop damage this time.

The real clever bit will be to planning the escape, ideally no crack of dawn departure over a weekend, where most of the worryingly fit population of West London, twixt Richmond and Chelsea will be out on anything that floats.

and what’s wrong with the good folk of Richmond Upon Thames ;)

Don’t worry I’m overseas !

Some might suggest that being told off in no uncertain terms by the staff at the barrier for dropping my anchor for about 10 mins while waiting for the barrier to lift might have something to do with it.
I could not possibly comment. :)

Barrier? That’s where the confusion lies 😂

News:
I am hearing that there is a gate collar broken at Romney Lock.

This was not on any of the EA feeds yesterday afternoon, (after all why would a Harbour Authority, focused on the leisure industry, be at work on a Sunday?) but I am sure is correct information.

It may take precedence, if the EA have the parts, as Swan Upping will pass there late this afternoon.

So much for preventative maintenance........
