I'm looking for a crew position on a good swan (or any for that matter) for the forthcoming Europeans if that helps!

Not wishing in any way to knock a boat with such a fab pedigree, but it's interesting to note some points about the interior of a fairly top notch boat from the 70s:

Remarkable lack of space below compared with a modern 44footer (look at gap between galley and nav table) yet beam is 3.8, not that much less than Bav 44 at 4.25.
No double berths (unless the two berths in the aft cabin are a double)
Relatively clear of kit in the nav area
Apparent lack of hatches for light and ventilation.

Despite that (and doubtless Bitterantwisted would say because of) it's a very good looking boat and must be great to sail. The interior, given she's 34 years old, looks in very good nick. Certainly not a marina boat!

OK, to keep within the rules, I'll offer £199.99

One of the aft berths could be considered a narrow double. OTOH, all six main berths are good sea berths.

Nav area kit - owner is not a gizmologist (paper charts and GPS), but the boat is cabled to allow a lappie to be USB'ed into all essential dataflows, and there's a satphone plug to an external aerial (I think). There's a USB port at the chart table.

There are two opening deckhead hatches in the saloon, and at least two (per side) of the cabin windows open.

As to space, how much do two or three people need?

What you can't see is tons of secure stowage.

Frighteningly quick with the wind forward of the beam - I've seen a steady 10.0 kts on a F4 fetch, with the chewed up old sails, not the shiny new ones.
