Just got back from 8 days Spain 4 of which were the coldest & windiest weather I have ever seen in Southern Spain. Completed paperwork & handover without any problems. I had to move new boat ( Cranchi 32) from Torreveija to Campoamor in F 7 not very far about 8 sea miles in all but cold & wet. Glad to say new boat handles really well in 2-3 metre swell & strong wind,Canopys pretty watertight also which is a bit of a suprise for out there Spent rest of week cleaning & familarising myself with equipment & finding out where everthing is. Only got a couple of hours boating in after that as the weather did'nt improve much & it was'nt very pleasent even inshore so will have to wait untill next trip for proper shakedown. However did notice differance in mooring, so easy with 2 engines, can compensate for wind blowing front round now.
First couple of days were ok went for sea trials on friends new boat Azimut Open 40
from Alicante round Isle de Tabarco & back he's just bought it. Only done 110 hrs 2003 its like a new boat.Wouldent like to have a berth in Alicante they wanted 9000 euros a year for the Azimut so I introduced him to a friend of mine in Torre & he bought a 12 metre berth off him so he's sorted now. Im hoping to make the delivery trip with him as soon as the deal is completed.
Best news is I have got a buyer for my Bayliner he's flying out today & having seatrial tomorrow so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
For the record I know of several berths for rent or sale from 6 metres to 15metres on the Costa Blanca.................Nat
