Looks like you will be having an extra special lock transit in July !

The Olympic torch is also set to pass through Teddington on the day of the opening ceremony. The torch will be travelling down the Thames from Hampton Court on a river barge towards Stratford Olympic Park – passing through Teddington Lock on its journey.

...and the rowers will be doing their bit at Henley.....

Ummm!!! Naughty Naughty its an offence under the Thames conservancy act and subsequent legislation (see below)....I hope Howie is going to put it out with the lock fire extinguishers, that would be worth filming and posting on Youtube!!!!!!:D

to be ignited any match artificial lighter or other means of producing a flame.

To me that means being lit while in a lock. The torch will be already in flame.
So the regulation doesn't apply.
