Not your usual Bank Holiday Monday weather, and I didn't drink a single cup of tea... :D

The pics were taken off Burriana Beach. As you can see, despite it being Easter they haven't got round to putting the buoys out to stop you going too near the beach. They will probably do it later this month.

Stunning conditions yesterday, absolutely perfect boat weather.

Here we go

The reason its so shiny, is, as we all know, outdrives are made from cheap quality chocolate and it is starting to melt in the heat.

BTW those sacrificial anodes you can see in the picture, were last replaced in 2006.

Via gritted teeth............

I really really hate to admit this but think we have been to a resturant there after visiting caves.:)
So this bit of fine Easter weather finally got down your way did it.

Yes, there are some good beach restaurants there to have a large lunch at - you can then slump on the beach for the rest of the afternoon.

Anyway, why is there no one drinking tea on that boat in your picture? :D

"Tea" is actually code for Pino Grigio and Estrella.

Are there a couple of bar/resturants actually on the beach with external oven /BBQ or am I thinking of somewhere else outside the town ?

Yes, there are several beach restauarants there that do sardines and paella on open fires, including one of the best known Ayos:

A few more pics from my day out:

This is a nice spot with the waterfall (which they sometimes switch off). In a boat like mine you can anchor in the pool right next to the waterfall - good place to go for a swim in the summer:

Notice the complete lack of any other boats (or jetskis) in this small bay. In August its pointless going out, as boats and jetskis go past every couple of minutes:

Hippy from the beach out on a paddle board:

**** weather today though, sunny, but windy.

Sardines for me .Passed that way when we stayed in Competa.
Bit like Chelsea on Sea up there as opposed to Birmingham on Sea down at coast. :)

Mrs Oldgit may require a few words with you at some point in the future ......:):):)

One more pic, for those that are interested. This is how the boats are launched and recovered off the beach. Giant rusty bulldozer with a tow hitch instead of a scoop, plus a custom built launch trailor:

Its easy enough when its flat calm, not so much fun if there are waves, wind and an appreciative audience of tourists.
