This weekend sees the 8th Row4AReason charity row race around Northey Island on the River Blackwater!

Great weekend!

Starts Friday night with a fancy dress Bingo night in the Marquee outside 'The Jolly Sailor', Sat starts at 1100hrs, Race starts at 1430hrs. Five and a half miles! Loads of fancy dressers, great fun.

Sunday, a farmers market supporting our local producers.

Come to Heybridge Basin and help raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association, and The Cardiomyopathy Association.

Well what a great weekend!

Tina has now raised well over £110,000:00 for charities!!!

I'm so proud of her.

The Alzheimer's Association and the Cardiomyopathy Association have benefited this year.

If only someone had told me it wasn't just a quick 10 minute row there and back, I would have just donated. jk.

Hi Al,

Yes it was great. It was a last minute decision to partake. I had been down early morning to put Playboys back in the water after her repairs. She is now back out currently on Omi's moorings whilst we have new ones laid.

/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I sponsored Omi and Myself and all paid up on the day.

Next years result should be an improvement. Have a load of refurbishments to carry out on the dinghy, some solid wood for the gunwales and some proper rowlocks instead of nasty nylon's. Was expecting to be towed in in all honesty. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Surprised that not many people do it as individuals, but then again more than one person and they only have to do half the work /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

It will be good to see some photo's of Playboys in the full throws of battle with the wind.

We are taking things steady with her and will probably leave it until next season before we use her in anger /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.
