Just entered Littlehampton against the ebb.

Just forced my way into Littlehampton and as promised I was pretty impressed by the ebb. 2 hours after HW and I needed 3000rpm plus to push my Konsort through. It was a proper crawl, with the cross current pushing west forcefully. Never had so many people pointing their phones and videoing us...disconcerting......my wife was slightly more anxious when I suggested they were hoping we would mess up. Looking forward to the joys of "LA" now. ?

Yup. I blame too good a breakfast and wind with lots of East in it.. probably 5 hours motorsailing from Chichester......... relaxed planning.......but I didn't want to be tied up on a pontoon all sunny afternoon. :)....last sailing weekend before lift out.

Just back from sampling the delights of LA
Not exactly spoilt for choice but found a nearby Italian restaurant that ticked our boxes. But back to my original point...I have never had such a welcome entering a harbour with so many people pointing their phones at us. Yes it was a spectacular bouncy crawl in but weird feeling being videoed!

I was coming for a chat this morning but you and the big Cat buggered off! I was late getting up so my fault.

We were the cream coloured boat in front of you, on the Dukes Wharf Pontoon.

I hope you enjoyed Littlehampton and visit again.

Ha! Shame. I had spotted you simply as I know you are Littlehampton based, it is some your previous threads (thank you) that encouraged me to stop off on my way back to Shoreham ( a quick google of Rotrax and your boat name :). That pontoon is a lovely spot for the sunset.
Likewise I would have come down for a chat but wanted to catch the east going tide and get a bit more sailing in than yesterday. Plus there was a gate in the way. I'll be back, but maybe get my arrival timed a bit better, and my smart gear on for the paparazzi :)
