That's outrageous!
I took our 4 or 5 big jerrycans (for our garden machinery) up to our little local filling station last week and after filling them and paying, I was driving back and thought .. blimey, that was cheap. The site was very busy so I wondered if I'd been charged for someone else's fuel. When I checked the receipt, no, it was for my fuel - and a whole lot cheaper than the previous and almost identical fill-up. From £1.30 to £1.05 in one go.
£1.63 is having a laugh at you.

How long have they had the stock, if bought a few months ago the price will be high.
I have a full tank of white bought at around 1.35 >40
 
If they've had it that long (and you're probably right with that suggestion) would you really want to stick it into your boat. Modern petrol with all that bio-crap in it doesn't last very long . It's a real pain. I have to run my chainsaws to empty nowadays rather than leave them with this muck in their tanks. I also use 'Fuelstor' additive to help a bit, but the carb/injector jets still clog up if you leave then fuelled-up for too long.
 
Our club rate for members is 83P.
Apparently there is a local no questions asked Red only garage charging 70p.
Depends if you want you and your car to reek of diesel for weeks afterwards.
