I wish boat manufacturers would stop the practice of pitching their prices far too low and then inflating them up again at the point of sale with overpriced essentials.
Things like commissioning (what?),delivery,covers,decks,instruments,carpets etc.
Can you imagine being asked for £6k C & D on your next car!
Obviously you are going to find out the real price when you sign up but the problem begins when you sell because the buyer will disregard the C & D and so the depreciation is greatly increased.
I once went to see a boat that cost 40% more than the advertised price (they forgot all about VAT too), I walked away.
