Just a Comment.....but !

Rivers have been flooding for ever, it is all part of the natural cycle.Floods scour out all the silt and **** from the river bed providing places for fish to breed and dump new fertile soil on the water meadows.
We can at best attempt to manage the the results of the winter deluge but thats about all.
A useful reminder of the power of the river and maybe,a reminder next summer as we cruise along on that perfect summer evening, just how fortunate we are to be able have a boat on this wonderful river.

Looking at all the pix on the forum have concluded that if this does not shift all those discarded Tesco bags and water bottles lodged in the river side vegetation nothing will.

Olde Mother Thames is doing her spring cleaning.
