Our engine battery died last week whilst sailing, so I had to jump start it of the domestics before entering harbour.
I went to buy a new battery at the weekend. whilst I was there a lady walked in with a problem with her recently purchased battery for her jet ski. The conversation went like this.
shop owner:- Can I help you.
Lady:- Yes I recently purchased this battery from you and it does not work anymore.
Shop owner:- Let me take it out the back for you and put a volt metre on it.
The chap then came back and said it's only got 8volt, hence the reason it does not work.
Lady:- How many volts should it have
Shop owner:- 12 volts it's flat.
Lady:- In that case how much are volts, and can I buy 4 extra volts for it.
At this point the shop started laughing. Felt very sorry for the lady.
