It was a pleasure to see Juno arrive in Wells-next-the-Sea yesterday. Does anyone know what type she is, history, etc. She seemed to have some form of deployable stabilisers on her sides, unless I've misinterpreted what they are?

If the owner is on this forum, congratulations on a beauty!

Looks like a Thames Sailing Barge, so they'll be leeboards.
They dont draw much. I remember once when I was doing EOD on the Maplin Sands standing around in my waders waiting for the tide to go out, hearing a slight rustle, and one of them was sneaking up behind me.

Allegedly they could drop the mast to get under a Thames bridge and then sail it back up again, big wind surfer stylee. If its true I'd like to see it, but perhaps it shouldn't be attempted nowadays
