The only good aspect of Cherbourg, is its a good Hbr in a convenient place. The town leaves much to be desired imho

Hi Ken sorry we missed you. we overnighted outside at st pp sunday night on the way up from perros and came over to carteret yesterday. tucked in here with a bunch of mates. cherbourg tomorrow. p.s. We are a20 haslar n35

Whilst the above shows the Sun does sometimes shine whilst sailing those currently suffering the wet weather are of course having the last laugh.
They are still on holiday and I'm back in the office with another year to wait before the next big cruise ;-(

Not in a northerly gale! We were there in one for around a week something like 12 years ago. Fenders all squashed flat, boat bouncing around, pretty dreadful.
