Has anyone heard of this model? Is just like the 1500 but with a CRT instead of LCD?

The reason I ask is that I've just bought one from the ebay site - brand new for about £550 with w/w warranty - before import duty, P & P.

Hope I've not been stupid!

I saw it for sale there too. Its far superior to the LCD model I'm sure you will be pleased with it. The retail on these is about £1,450 including VAT so you have done OK.

Re: Phew

Sounded too good to be true - but worth the 'risk'!

Being sent UPS - 3 days. I'll let you know if it does actually arrive..

Re: Phew

Just a good deal thats all. The mistake many people make is to put stuff up for sale asking too much. All that happens is it goes back into their shed and gathers dust. My attitude when selling stuff is "if its no more use to me I would rather have a few quid and a quick deal than have it lingering around" I recently had a major clear out and sold off thousands of pounds worth of stuff at knock down prices, it all went and went almost instantly, one item within a few minutes of it being place on a certain marine notice board (not the one here) One bloke emailed me and asked why one item was so cheap, by the time I answered him and he came back, that too had been sold.

Re: Phew

I am an inveterate bargain hunter and scour all of them.
Obviously the one here which is restricted and doesn't carry photos.
My favorite is www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk which is unrestricted and does carry photographs.
2nd favorite is EBAY (http://listings.ebay.co.uk/aw/plistings/list/all/category1293/index.html) which is an auction site and carries photographs.
Then there is boats for sale (http://www.boatsandyachtsforsale.co.uk/) which has a lineage section. Unfortunately no photos
Finally there is loot (http://www.loot.com/scripts/lootsite.dll)
carries loads of stuff but no photos and badly put together in-so-far as things aren't in sections.
Personally I prefer a site with photos. Other site which I haven't looked at lately is the cruising association one.
