JRC /Raymarine

They did. I just sold my JRC1800. They supplied quite a few different companies.
Did you want to use a jrc1500 head with a Raymarine scanner or the other way round?

Possibly both/either ways round. Thanks for the link; it suggests that only the JRC Radar 1000 and the JRC Radar 1500 used the type M1516 Magnetron and none of the Raytheon/Raymarine units do. Does this mean that there is no cross compatibility between the 1000/1500 and Raytheon badged products?

I guess so.... certainly the 1000 would not, it was a low budget special - actually very good for the money. I think the 1500 is also a 2Kw unit. My 1800 was a 4Kw unit.

At least you have part numbers to look on ebay for different makers systems all using the same parts with a different logo on them.

These magnetrons will be getting long in the tooth - they are hours dependent and will degrade and fail.
