JRC Radar problem

Evening all,


Spent the whole week end trying to get my JRC to operate.

After last summer we took the dome down and disconected the system. We have now re connected it and there is nothing showing.

The power is on and fully connected.

Any ideas? One of the local yachties has sauggested that as it has been out of commission for so long the internal magnatron may now be knackered. Surely not ?

this happened to me

Double check you have power
Check all the connections and re-check
I always take my mast and scanner down each winter
I couldn't get my radar to work beginning of last season
Used a bit of WD40 on the connectors and hey presto it worked
I know WD is not ideal, but it was all I had to hand.
IMHO If it hasn't been used it's unlikely to be the magnetron
Double check the simple things first
