JRC 1000Mk2 radar

Has anyone got one of these?
My elderly (25 years old) set is becoming unreliable now and I think it is about time to set it free. I'm looking for a new set on a very limited budget.
So can anyone give me any feedback on this?

I've got one which works well, some people say the display is not as good as other makes but for the money it dose what it should do.

I had one on my old Sea Ray, it was ok - depends what you want out of a radar I guess.

I have one, and as bendyone implies, it does exactly what it says on the tin. Very happy with it.

Also consider Furuno 1623...

The JRC1000 has been around a long time and has many happy owners. But it's not as good as more recent products, and indeed very few retailers have any JRCs for sale. A better investment would be the Furuno 1623 - excellent value at £750.
