Jotun Anti foul
For the last 10 years we have used "sea queen" by Jotun, and found it to be very effective in our corner of the UK, only requiring repainting every two years, I now find that although it is still being produced "sea force 30" it is not available to "private" users anymore, only to Commercial boat yards, by the Health and Safety bods. There is however an alternative for us called something Mare, developed for the "out every season" yotties and repaint before re launching. I have had a blast at SML. PAINTS who in the past have really excellent with the supply and delivery of Marine Paints but could not get past the Health and Safety aspect, nor could I get an assurance in writing that the new stuff would do the job. What I would like to know has anyone here used any other manufacturer i.e. Blakes, Flag, or even dare I say International on their fishing boats and what results have you had? Please leave Coppercoat out we are not millionaires. Apologies to all who I have recommended Jotun to in the past.

I'm not in your waters, but quite happy with http://www.eu45antifoul.com/

Very clean after a full season and a wash, better than most fellow boaters in our marina (grain of salt as I do not know exactly how long others have been in).

Edit: SeaForce 30 apparently contains 25-35% copper (hence the name). EU45 contains 45%.

Damn, I changed to it last year but bought enough to cover me for this year. Looks like next year I will have either go back to Flag Premier 1 (which is very good) or try something else. I went to Seaqueen because it was cheaper and required fewer coats.

I reckon the Jotun leisure paints guy at the Southampton boat show in 2012 got his way, I remember at the time him telling me when I asked why Seaqueen was not mentioned on his stand....that I should not be using Seaqueen and should be using the Jotun leisure version (at double the price).
