Jolie Brise visiting South Devon Sunday 22nd

The Jolie Brise is calling in to South Devon today, at the mo understood to be in Torquay Marina then calling in to Teignmouth Harbour about 4pm for a break and meal at the Weatherspoons named appropriately, The Jolie Brise, should be great to see such a historic vessel under sail.
Humm well the GoPro is being charged as we write.

I kept my boat at the yard she lives at for 10 years, a well kept boat. When the kids antifoul her in spring they usually have more paint on themselves than the boat.

Nice to have an audience, but must be a bit of a drag having all those motor boats buzzing about you as you hope to lower sails and moor without hitting your massive bowsprite off anything.

Humm, indeed, some of those Craft in close attendance were River Authority craft and The Pilots so they were ensuring that Jolie Brise had clear water on passage to the turning place.
Our local Rowing Clubs were also out in force to meet n greet her in the Estuary and accompany her to her pontoon berth, yep all in all a great sight to behold.
