I was thinking today about people who want to have joint ownership of a boat without the huge expenses of being on the south coast.
Who would be up for a boat share of say a Jeanneau Prestige 36 Fly Bridge without having to pay the VAT on it and have mooring fees of £100 a month no VAT inc electric and service charges no VAT with a labour rate of £30 again NO VAT. and Insurance of around £350.
Plus they would have the Channel Islands as a cruising area including the French coast with a boat full of diesel, clean and ready to run on arrival or just moored in St Peter Port to use as a floating home with which to have as a base for a holiday. Small RIB on the back with an engine big enough to tow a skier and all the latest Nav equipment and charts/Pilotbooks for the area. Fuel at 20p per litre (Soltron additised of course).
Flights are £68 pp or Condor for half that price from Weymouth or Poole.
So who's up for it
