Like the forum ? Enjoy the banter / postings .... so do we ! We like to also do a little more than just that - we like to post files, documents, pictures and all sorts that you cannot do here. Believe me - we are not in competition with the forums - in fact we wish to compliment them.

So whatever your interest, whatever your 'beef' - spice up the day and join in the Yahoo groups :

For all things all round the world to do with boats, whatever you want :

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/my_yacht/

Check out other group sites ....

We all have something to offer - ideas, tricks, tips, lessons, you name it - someone will bless you for it, hate you for it ---- its a free world and free sites !!!

See you there ...... don't forget - log into http://groups.yahoo.com/group/my_yacht/

Well, after the steam that rose after last week's posting from the Boss of Compass, I just think you are very brave advertising here like this!!
I'm not sure that my already diminished levels of productivity at work will stand my participation in another forum!

No, fortunately - what a bunch of tossers! they had Donald Campbell dying in 1964 and Thirlmere down as a natural glacier valley lake according to the local rag. What bloody hope is there - here I am striving to deliver excellence on £5k a year, students thriving on my charisma and passion for the subject and then there's that useless bunch of knuckle shufflers on squillions - think I'll go and work for compass!

Re: Join the growing groups - No Thanks!

This here is the first decent sailing forum I have found, and I can only afford to checkout one. And I don't like Yahoo forums with all the interspersed adds.
I'm sure most people here will think the same. So forget it.

£5k p.a

You might laugh but at our place it's £3 a day and all you can eat and drink. Seriously I remember leaving one job at £3.5k p.a to go to another at £5.5k p.a. Thought I had swum the channel!

But it peed down in the afternoon and Arsenal v Liverpool was on the box. Went down to the club to gaze wistfully at my boat in the morning as it is out of the water for the winter.

Oh, really????

I guess that's why the home page of your "forum" carries a large pic and reference to the Ridas 35 Cruiser Racer which, due to a chance contact between 2 of the 3 members of your forum, is being imported into the UK - "check out the pdf in the files folder". And I suppose one of the 2 interested parties wouldn't happen to be your company, would it? Come on Nigel, if you want advertising, pay for it like everyone else.

Incidentally, the Yahoo groups are notorious for being impenetrably difficult to join, and for bombarding visitors with ads. So, anyone who's tempted might be advised to save their time.
