We are planning take our motor cruiser a Sealine S23 from Portland cross the Channel to Le Havre to entre the French Canals system, existing at Chalon-Sur-Saone into the Rhone and entering the Med at Port St-Louis.
We would like to make contact with other boat owners who are thinking of making this trip to the Med in 2017 in the spring or early summer.

you need to explain if its foe a holiday ,or permanent ,if so how long you plan getting there

We are planning to move our boat down to the Med for couple years holiday and it estimated to take 5 to 6 weeks through the French Canals. So we want to join up with others who want to do a similar trip in their boat.

Fabulous!

Have you read Narrow Dog to Carcasonnne? hilarious account of someone in a narrow boat doing it.

Yes I agree burgundyben Fabulous, something I have always hankered after doing
I have taken a look at the 'Narrow Dog to Carcasonne' as well
I loved one of the pre- ambles
'Like many Welshmen, Terry is confiding and ill at ease with practical matters and known to Linger Public Houses , He likes boating and admits he isn't very good at it'
Friggen Ace that is!

We did this trip a few years ago now. Once you start the trip, you'll quickly meet boats (very likely as early on as Honfleur, if you stop there) that are doing a similar trip and you'll probably keep bumping into them as you travel along the canals. We met a lot of lovely people during our travels along the canals.
