As a complete novice and 1st Timer, how do I open the cover on my Johnson 120 Outboard. Recently bought 1st Ski Boat and dont want to do anything without knowing what I am doing.

Probly got a lever under the back edge of the cover, release that and hinge the cover forward and lift away.

Does that include driving it?

The diagrams HERE may help but you will need to ID the year of your engine to access the right ones.
