The power tilt and trim on my Johnson 70 vro has stopped working over the winter I can hear the relays clicking but no other action, has anyone any ideas as to the fault ,thanks .Kieron

I would check the battery voltage, if that is ok clean the connections.

Hi
To verify it's not the motor at fault, you could try the age old screw driver across the terminals on the actual motor assembly. Best to use a rubber handled screwdriver. Similar technique to the age old screw driver across the starter motor solonoid

thanks for your help, I went out first thing having thought about it overnight , went through the wiring had to pull at it a bit to see things properly . I pulled one wire and it just pulled out of its insulation without effort so I cut it back and crimped in a new piece and then like magic !!!!!!it worked ,the broken cable was an earth. so once again thanks for giving the matter your thought.
