Johnson 60hp outboard

Hi all, apologies if this is the wrong place to post this. Can anyone help with advice on servicing, with regards to DIY, I have a Johnson 60hp on the back of my 17ft. I haven't used the boat for over a year now with moving and what not. At present she is trailered in my parents garden in Attleborough, I'm desperate to get out fishing but engine would need a service as well as impeller checking/replacing. The trim/tilt motor appears to have packed up too. Is the service as well as the trim/tilt something I could do, I have tried to contact a few people close to,where boat is but no one has responded to my requests, or do you fine people on here no of any good servicing locations close to Norwich? Thanks

As a first step I would put muffs on it and run it. Have you checked the oil level in the trim/tilt?

I ran it on muffs to flush it when brought back from Swansea, I haven't checked oil level but the you can hear the relays clicking when pushing the buttons

Does the battery voltage drop much when the button is held to activate it? Does plenty water come out the tell tale?

I got a car mechanic friend to check it out, he put a volt meter across it and said the motor was at fault, I do seem to vaguely remember the trim sort of functioning when I accidentally hit the buttons on the throttle control, however the rams would not push the engine up, you could only hear the relays ticking. The tell tale is pumping water out but I can't decide if it is a weaker flow than I remember, I haven't run it up for quite a while now due to one thing or another, I just thought better to be safe than sorry and service it plus do the water pump, but I'm just a cop with no clue about mechanics, I have only recently managed to change brake disks on the missus car, so,if a service is not too hard I'll read the manual and crack on
